Facing Forward: Coping With Cancer Together

What You Need to Know About Financial & Legal Issues - September 22, 2009. A panel of financial. legal and government professionals will provide information about financial issues and options to consider as a survivor.

The Value of Self Care: Ways to Manage Physical Changes - November 24, 2009. Experts and resources for wellness, nutrition, and exercise will help survivors learn how to deal with physical changes they may experience.

Your Health Depends on body, Mind & Spritual Wellness: Your Feelings - January 26, 2010. this is a forum in a comfortable, relaxed setting with health care and clerical providers about the many feelings faced by cancer survivors. Topics will include: coping with depression and anxiety, fear of recurrence, future health concerns and finding comfort. time will be provided to share about cooping with anxieties and fears.

People Who Care About You are Affected Too: Social and Work Relationships and Intimacy - March 23, 2010. Professionals will set the tone for a comfortable, safe and open discussion of social, intimacy and work relationships faced by cancer survivors. Resource materials for professional assistance will be provided. Topics will include: handling problems at work, relating to friends and co-workers, learning to relax, partner and dating issues and intimacy.

Giving Back After Cancer: Volunteer Opportunities - May 25, 2010. The American Cancer Society, Caner Services and MidMichigan Home Care's Hospice and other represnetatives will make participants aware of the variety of opportunities for survivors who wish to become volunteers, help others and assist others in the fight to find a cure fo rcancer and help other cancer survivors.

Mobile Food Pantry at Coleman Wesleyan Church

Visit the Midland County Food Pantry Network's Mobile Pantry at Coleman Wesleyan Church on Wednesday, March 24th. Receive free food to supplement your family's pantry, no proof of income or identification is necessary. This is a first come, first served program. There will be enough food for 300 households. Client registration begins prior to distribution time, at 8:30 a.m. Clients may leave after receiving a number and return at noon for distribution.

Spring Break at Salvation Army Day Camp and VBS

The Salvation Army is pleasd to offer Spring Break Day Camp and Vacation Bible School. Spring break at The SAL provides quality programming in a loving, constructive and enriching environment for children ages 4 and up! Days will be filled with structured activities, games, special events and lots of hugs and laughter. Day campers will receive a nutritious lunch provided by volunteers.

VBS will be offered free of charge from 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. All children are welcome, even those not participating in Day Camp.

Spring Break Day Camp will be offered from 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. at a cost of $10 per day. Scholarships are available.

Show your support for victims of sexual assualt by wearing denim on April 9th and making a donation to the Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault (Shelterhouse). Proceeds will go toward supporting the local sexual assault program.
